Morgan Smith

He graduated from Columbia College at Columbia University and Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan made his debut as an Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) then in 2001 made his debut on stage playing Donald In Billy Budd. The show is a huge hit for audiences in Seattle Mr. Smith has performed roles in 12 other productions since his debut, including Count Alamaviva from Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni (title role), Silvio in I Pagliacci, Riccardo in I Puritani as well as Peter Niles in Mourning Becomes The Electra. A regular on the stage for concerts Smith has also performed in several other productions. Smith made his Dallas Symphony debut with Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and debuted in The San Antonio Symphony for the North American premiere of Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange, Detlef Glanert's orchestral interpretation of the well-loved cycle by Brahms. Other concert repertoire includes Beethoven's Ninth Symphony; the Requiems composed by Brahms, Faure, Mozart and Durufle. Mass that is in C Minor composed by Mozart and Mass with G Minor from Vaughan Williams; Bach's B Minor Mass as well as numerous cantatas as well as Weihnachts Oratorium; Handel's Messiah and L'Allegro and the il Penseroso and the Moderato and Haydn's The Creation and Lord Nelson Mass.
