Steven Tyler

Steven TylerAfter spending time in the Boston club circuit, under the direction of their first manager, Frank Connelly, the band began working with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. They then signed a recording deal in 1972 and released their eponymous debut album in 1973. The album was immediately followed by Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic and Rocks. This earned Aerosmith worldwide fame and recognition. These albums brought legendary hits such as "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's early five albums have also been multi-platinum and Toys in the Attic and Rocks are thought to be among the greatest hard rock albums of all time. The band began to feel the consequences of their fast-paced life of touring, recording with each other, and consuming drugs as the decade was progressing. Because of their notorious use of drugs and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music includes numerous videos that showcase their relationship. Tyler, apparently much more dedicated to the band and the band, was seen to be resentful of Perry's aloofness and envy Perry's prioritization of the females in his life. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently one of the main reasons for the decline of Aerosmith around 1980.
