Kolber was born in Pennsylvania and graduated with a Master's education from the University of Miami. In New York City, she was hired as an CBS Sports Video Coordinator. While working at WTVJ-TV, Miami, she was awarded the Sports Emmy. Also, she worked for WPLG-TV Miami and WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. In 1993 she was picked as the anchor of ESPN2's initial year of its launch. The station stayed with her until ESPN2 till Fox Sports hired her. Then, in 1999, she returned to ESPN and is currently host of the show 'Monday Night Countdown'.
