Colson Kelly, a.k.a by the name Machine Gun Kelly, has an unique rapping style. Baker was originally born in Houston, TX U.S. on April 22nd 1990 to parents who were of English Scottish German descent. His parents were missionaries. As a child Baker traveled a lot with them. The dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed and his mom Sonia Alane left them when he was nine. Baker's dad moved together with him to Denver and the family lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was subject to bullying since he lived in poverty among the kids. The first time Baker heard of Rap was in the sixth class. Colson Kelly was born as Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989 in Texas. In his music, he is well known for his ability to mix hip-hop style modern with rock. Before making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics with the velocity that of a fast bullet saw an explosive rise when, in 2011, he made the switch from self-released mixtapes to established labels. The career of the rapper took off immediately, and all of his albums reaching the top 10 charts.
